Phillip and his wife of 58 years moved to Richmond in 1958 to begin their life together. He quickly obtain a job a Reynolds Metal Co. where he spent his career of 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing cards. He also was a member of Masonic Lodge 354 of Woodland Heights for many years. He enjoyed his retirement with many hours spent doing his love, spending times in the woods hunting and on the lake bass fishing with many buddies. He loved spending time in his yard and garden as he had learned from his father and grandfather. His love of his wife and family was never ending and his pride shown as his grandchildren enter his life. He spent hours with them sharing his love of the outdoors. He loved to take the grandsons hunting and reveled in their joy as they killed their first deer. As he aged he was challenged to make it to the woods but the boys saw that he still had time to at least go and sit as he enjoyed the atmosphere. He and June travelled extensively with visits to many states. They became members of Woodlake United Methodist Church in 1997 and found many friends with whom they spent much time with. As his life slowed due to his health, he still spent time with June puttering in the yard, time with his family and time with his church family. His newest addition was that of his first to come great granddaughter, Kinley. She brought many smiles to him in his final days and he would spend hours holding her. He lived a full life with his wife, children, grandchildren, great grand daughter and extended family and friends. He will be missed by many but welcomed in heaven by many. He is now at peace with his Lord and we take joy in knowing he is free again to enjoy his new journey.
