Eckels Raymond L. Eckels, age 79, of Amelia passed from this life on Sept. 2, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Graham and is preceded in death by his first wife, Donna and his son, David. He is also survived by his son Brad daughters, Linda Pfizenmayer, Diane Kalliantas, Deborah Owens , Elaine Eckels, and B.G. Borum; 13 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visiting at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday with a funeral service beginning at 4 p.m. following visitation. Ray will be buried next to his first wife Donna in Lexington Ohio later this week. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and was the former manager of the TDS Telephone Company in Amelia, former member of the Amelia County Business Association and the Amelia Lions Club.
