Richard Irving Potts, died on April 29, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reginald Harrell Potts, Jr. and Ann Archer Irving Potts, and his brother, Joseph Kincaid Potts. Richard attended Presbyterian Junior College in Maxton, N. C. after graduating from Durham High School in Durham, N. C.. He was a longtime resident of Amelia, Va. and in recent years lived at Hickory Hill Retirement Community in Burkeville, Va. The funeral service and interment will be held graveside at Grub Hill Cemetery in Amelia on Sunday May 3, 2009 at 1:00PM. Contributions may be made to either the Grub Hill Foundation or Christ Church Episcopal both of Amelia.
