Robert Lee Jones, age 88, of Amelia, Va., passed from this life on Dec. 23, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his wife; Estelle, his son Jeffrey and is survived by his son; Gary and wife Therese and children; Jamie, Chelsea, and Russell (Sarah) of Chesterfield, , Bruce and his wife Tahsha of Florida, grandson  Josh Hylton and great granddaughter Jadzia Renee.   Visiting at the  Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia on Thursday Jan. 2, 2020 from 6-8PM with a service at 2:00PM on Friday at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery chapel with interment following in the Veterans  Cemetery.  The procession will assemble at 1PM on Friday and process to the cemetery shortly before 2PM. Bob was a former chief and active member of Amelia Fire Co # 4 Mattoax, and was an Army veteran and retired truck driver.  Contributions maybe made to Amelia Nursing Home or APAW and mailed to P. O.
