Robert Butler Kerr, age 92, of Amelia, passed away on February 5, 2013.  He along with his brother in law Charles Dodson, owned and operated Ameva Farm for 50 years.  He served on numerous agricultural boards, was an elder and treasurer of Mattoax Presbyterian Church, and a WWII Veteran.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sarah Lee; sons Tommy (Susan) and Jimmy (Donna);  daughters Grace Ann Schiemann ( Calvin) and Gail Arthur (Steve); six grandchildren, Perry Cassell, Jenny McMullen, Mike and Jeff Arthur, Jamie and Alex Kerr; and ten great-grandchildren.  The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7 at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia.  A Church Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 8 at Mattoax Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Mattoax Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Amelia Rescue Squad.
