Robert Preston Midkiff, age 79 of Amelia, passed away on March 13, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his wife Carole Curry Midkiff, and brother; Leroy Midkiff,  and is survived by his son Timothy of Amelia; daughters Sherry Jernigan of Chesterfield, and Donna Talley of Urbanna; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters Joyce Johnson of Keysville, and Virginia Elliott of Amelia.  Funeral services 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial following  at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Hermon Baptist Cemetery in Moseley.  The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
