Ruby Elizabeth Meyers, age 87, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2013.  She was predeceased by her husband William N. Meyers and is survived by her sons Gerald Perkins (Janice) of FL and Charles Perkins (Vickie) of MD; daughters Martha O'Brien of Amelia and Shelley Foskey (Edgar) of DE; seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Visitation on Monday April 8 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia.  A chapel service is scheduled for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
