Russell Edward Blackwell, age 64, of Amelia, passed from this life on Feb. 4, 2018.  He is survived by his daughters, Joanna Callaway of Amelia, Cassandra Cosner of Louisa, his mother, Thelma Elaine Southard Blackwell of Mechanicsville, sisters, Paulette Longan of Hanover, Teresa Greene of Varina, his grandchildren, Karleigh, Liam, Michael and Jamie and his girl friend, Gwen Milburn.  Russell served his country honorably in the US Army and was a retired truck driver.  A celebration of life will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery Chapel on March 2, 2018 at 3PM followed by military honors.
