Russell Louis Brown, of Amelia, passed away on December 5, 2021, at the age of 78. He was born in Massachusetts and later moved to Virginia. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 28 years, Donna K. Brown, both of whom were deeply loved and missed by their grandchildren, Brittany Christiansen and Charles Dustin Oliver. He will be deeply missed by many, especially his loving and supportive friend of ten years, Sabrina King, and close friend, Jason Whitaker. Russ was also preceded in death by his parents, Bertram Brown and Jennie Fortinellis, and siblings Beverly Lincoln, Robert Brown, and William Fortinellis. He is survived by three sons, Richard Brown, Michael Brown, and Eddy Brown and their children and grandchildren; a sister, Dianne Tinkham, and a brother, Jerry Brown.

Russ was a long-time member of the Paineville and then Jetersville Fire Departments. A memorial service will be held on a date to be announced.
