Herber Ruth Ramsey Herber, age 80, of Amelia formerly of White Sulphur Springs, W. VA., passed from this life on Nov. 24, 2010. She is survived by her husband, John, sons, Gregory and David of Amelia, Douglas and James and wife Maria of Henrico, brother, James Franklin Ramsey of Richmond, eight grandchildren, David A. Herber, Richard J. Herber, Brian J. Herber, Amanda Hall, Jessica Meschke, Timothy Herber, Joshua Herber, Christian Herber, and six great grandchildren, Michael Hall, Serenity Hall, Mariane Hall, David Herber III, Dori Ann Herber. Ruth was a member of Salem United Methodist Church of Amelia, Life member of Amelia Rescue Squad Ladies Aux., member of VFW Post 8759 Aux. and President of Fleet Reserve Assoc. Aux. Funeral services 12Noon Monday Nov. 29, 2010 at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home Sunday 6:00-8:00PM.
