Ruth Hartman Morris, age 100, of Amelia, passed from this life on Dec. 6, 2012.  She is preceded in death by her husband Otis and son-in-law, Leslie W. Deagle, and is survived by her daughters, Shirley Deagle of Mechanicsville, and Barbara Smith and her husband Littleton of Amelia, grandchildren, Miles Deagle and Danny Deagle both of Mechanicsville, James Smith of Va. Beach, Bonita Frazier of Powhatan, Bettie Altizer of Keezletown, Va. and Sheila Giuriceo of Prospect and eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services 2PM on Sunday Dec. 9, at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial following in Piedmont Baptist Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home 5-7PM on Sat.  Contributions may be made to the Amelia Rescue Squad.
