Sarah Lee Kerr, age 90, of Amelia passed from this life on October 17, 2016.  She along with her husband Robert and  brother,  Charles Dodson, owned and operated Ameva Farm for 50 years. She is  preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Robert Butler Kerr , and is survived by her sons Tommy (Susan) and Jimmy (Donna);  daughters Grace Ann Schiemann  and Gail Arthur (Steve); six grandchildren, Perry Cassell, Jenny McMullen, Mike and Jeff Arthur, Jamie and Alex Kerr; and thirteen  great-grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 19, at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia.  A Church Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 20,  at Mattoax Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Mattoax Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Amelia Rescue Squad or Mattoax Presbyterian Church.
