Shelby Jean Smith, age 83, of Amelia, Va. passed from this life on April 5, 2021.  She is preceded in death by her husband William James Smith, and is survived by her children, Teresa Mingee of Amelia, Donna Skeens of Powhatan, and Randall Smith of Powhatan; grandchildren Jamie Covey, Ashley Franklin, Stacy Dowdy, and Tanya Skeens, and numerous great grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday April 16, 2021 at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd. in Chesterfield.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church 22110 Genito Road Amelia, Va. 23002.
