Shirley R. Thompson, 67, of Amelia Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2020.  Shirley, a loving, dedicated and hard-working woman and mother, is predeceased by her husband Leo and nephew P.J. Rippeth. She is survived by her sons, Charles of Henrico, David and wife Bobbie Jo of Amelia, Brothers Paul Rippeth of Mineral, David Wyatt of Henrico, and nephew Daniel Rippeth of North Carolina.  She will be laid to rest with her late husband Leo at the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery in Amelia. In remembrance, a private gathering with family and friends will be held at the gravesite at 4pm on October 16, 2020.
