It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Silvestre Rita-Bravo, a bright spirit who graced the world with his presence from July 27, 1989, until December 19, 2024. Born in Mexico, Silvestre held dear his rich heritage as a proud member of the Hispanic community, embracing the values and traditions that connect him to his Mexican roots. Silvestre is remembered fondly by his cousin, Felipe Bravo, who shares in the grief of losing a cherished family member. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family ties that transcends distance and time. As we gather to honor Silvestre's life, we invite family and friends to join us for a public viewing at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home on January 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM. This will be an opportunity to pay our respects and share cherished memories of a life lived with passion and purpose. A funeral service will follow on January 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home. Together, we will reflect on the joys and trials that Silvestre faced, celebrating the vibrant spirit he brought into our lives. In honor of his wishes, Silvestre will be taken home to Mexico for his final disposition. Though we will miss him dearly, his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.
