Thea Otis Elliott, age 73, of Amelia, passed away on June 26, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Evelyn Elliott; daughters Robin Gough(Daryl) and Deborah Weaver (Allen) of Amelia and Lisa Edwards(Bryan) of King William; son, Dwayne E. Bayne (Judy) of Jetersville,brothers Ted Elliott (Barbara) of Amelia and John Elliott (Gail)of Nottoway; sisters Ruth Jenkins of Chesterfield, Lois Johnson(Charles) of Burkeville and Maggie Squires(Frank) of NC; eight grandchildren and five great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 27 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. Funeral services will be Monday June 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Salem United Methodist Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Amelia Dixie Youth Baseball P. O. Box 248 Amelia, Va. 23002 in memory of his love for children and love for the game of baseball.
