Thomas Edward Bryant, age 87, of Amelia, passed away peacefully at home on July 26, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie; sons Thomas J. (Kaye) and Dean (Dianna) of Amelia, Carl (Gaye) of Nottoway and Lee (Michelle) of Burkeville; daughters Charlotte Babcock (Jimmy) of Powhatan and DeEtte Wright (Bill) of South Hill; twenty eight grandchildren, forty nine great-grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and his beloved dog Tony. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28 2010 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Little Flock Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Amelia Rescue Squad.
