Thomas Jefferson Easter, age 89 of Amelia, passed away from this life on February 21, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wives Annie McCraw and Elinor Smith Gunter; his parents Frank and Edna Kenny Easter, his step-father Monroe Easter; brothers Clyde, Martin, Jimmy, Kent, Elmer (Buster); sister Eva Sue Rector, son Randy; and daughter Dottie Gunter. He is survived by his daughters Anita Harrington of Chester, Susie Gunter of Amelia; daughter in law Myra Easter of Amelia; son Roy David Gunter of Amelia; brother Floyd Easter (Lola) of Amelia; sisters Josephine Smith of Gloucester, Peggy Perry and Sarah Johnson (Dwight) of Richmond; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to his caregivers Kathy Wood and Golorious Robertson, and close friend Jeff Burke. Services will be held at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Amelia, Virginia at 2:00 p.m. on February 26, 2022.  The public is invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, American Diabetes Association, or your local church and food banks.
