Thomas Stark, III, age 90, of Amelia, died on December 10, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Stark, Jr. and Clara West Stark; his wife, Katherine Graves Weisiger Stark, and his sister, Nancy Stark Garrett.  He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Stark Garrett, daughters, M. Cary Stark Cronemeyer of Richmond, and Elizabeth Anne Stark Rakiec (Stan) of East Haven, Conn., and son, Thomas Stark, IV (Mindy) of Powhatan; five grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.  He was a graduate of Amelia High School, VPI, and the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.  He was commissioned and served as an officer in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He practiced law in Amelia and surrounding counties in Southside Virginia for 61 years, and he served as Amelia's Commonwealth's Attorney for 32 years.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 18 at 2p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Amelia, with graveside service to follow at Grub Hill Church Cemetery in Amelia.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Christ Episcopal Church in Amelia, VA.  The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 17, at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia, VA from 5pm to 7pm.
