Thomas Walter Parker, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018 at his home in Jetersville.  He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Lee Parker and is survived by his son Clay Babcock (Linda) of Prince George; daughters Kathy Rhea (Bob) of Chesterfield and Nina Drumheller (Ronnie) of Boydton, VA; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  A veteran of the US Army, he served in Korea, worked in the shipyards of Newport News, and retired as a carpenter with the Nottoway Dept. of Corrections.  As a member of the Manchester moose Lodge, he enjoyed his time there spent with friends singing, dancing, and   karaoke.  The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday May 24 at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia.  Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday May 25 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
