It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Timothy Midkiff, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who departed this life on April 18, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on December 17, 1963, Timothy lived a life marked by hard work and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him. Timothy devoted his professional life to bricklaying, a craft that showcased his remarkable skills and commitment to his trade. He took pride in his work, often sharing stories of the projects he undertook, breathing life into buildings throughout his community. Timothy was preceded in death by his parents Robert "Bud" Midkiff, and Carole Curry Midkiff and his daughter Robyn Michelle Midkiff. He is survived by his two sons, Timothy Midkiff of Amelia and Damian Midkiff of Powhatan, who carry forward his hardworking spirit; his loving sisters, Sherry Jernigan of Chesterfield, and Donna Talley of Topping, VA, who shared countless cherished memories with him; and his grandchildren, Ariel Midkiff and Kendall Slaughter, whose laughter brightened his life. A public viewing will be held in his honor at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home on April 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM, until 8:00 PM, allowing family and friends an opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate his life. Following this, a graveside service will take place at Mount Hermon Baptist Church on April 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM, where he will be laid to rest.
