Valerie A. Stokes, age 33, of Jetersville, passed away on October 24, 2011. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband Harvey Opie Stokes Jr. and daughters Cassidy, Hailey and Rylee Stokes, all of Jetersville; mother Betty Gibson and brother Roger Junior Stanley, Jr., both of Amelia. She was preceded in death by her father Roger Stanley, Sr. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday October 26, at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A church service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, 25450 East Sayler's Creek Road, Jetersville, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
