Virginia Radford Anderson, died on July 24, 2025 at her home in Amelia County. She was born January 28, 1927 in Floyd County, the oldest child of Uriah and Eliza Belle Nolen Radford. Virginia graduated from Floyd County High School and worked at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant until the end of WWII. She moved to Richmond and worked at Dupont until marrying Joe Anderson in March 1955. Virginia lived in Amelia for the remainder of her life. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her sons, Russell Ephraim and Wesley Radford, her son-in-law Lynn Tedder, her brother, Nolen Radford, her sister, Pee Wee Leffingwell. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Jo, grandchildren, Clancy Tedder, Joseph and his fiancé Beth Ann Hudgins, Kate, Alison, Paige and her husband Austin Utz, and her great grandchildren, Brantley, Virginia, Blakely, and Laura Jo. She is also survived by her sister, Joanne Rivers, sister-in-law Christine Anderson, Francis Anderson, and Shirley Anderson Martin, and many treasured and much loved nieces, nephews, and friends. Virginia left her body to the Virginia Anatomical Program for scientific research and medical educational. She was a member of the Amelia Presbyterian Church where a memorial service will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 at 11AM with the Rev. Jeremy Canada as celebrant.
