Hamilton, Virginia McCormick, left behind life on this earth and moved on to a better place on November 13, 2021.  She was predeceased by her parents, an infant son, her son James Whit Hamilton II, and her daughter, Pamela Grace Hamilton. She is survived by her husband James Whit Hamilton, her son Raymond Estel Hamilton and wife Kelly, and daughter Virginia Leigh "Jennie" Hamilton; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; brothers Monroe McCormick, Curtis McCormick and wife Sharon, and one sister Betty Booth and husband Art, all of Crewe. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday November 20, at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS Foundation, VA Chapter at DC/MD/VA Chapter, 7507 Standish Place, Derwood, MD 20855.
