Virginia Evelyn Elliott, age 79, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2022.  She is preceded in death by her parents; Robert Estel and Sarah Alice Easter Midkiff and her husband; Thea Otis Elliott and brothers; Robert P. Midkiff and James Leroy Midkiff.  She is survived by her children; Eddie Bayne of Amelia, Robin Gough (Daryl), Debbie (Allen) Weaver, all of Amelia, and Lisa Edwards (Bryan) of Matthews County, sister; Joyce Johnson of Keysville, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.   Virginia was a mail carrier for the Amelia Post Office for over 20 years.  Funeral services 11AM Monday January 10, 2022 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home with burial to follow at Salem UMC Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00-8:00PM.
