Walter Arville Sexton Jr. of Amelia, Virginia passed from this life on September 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents B.P. and Bertha Sexton, his father Arville Sexton and granddaughter Heidi Powell. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Gloria Sexton, daughters Tina (Jeffrey) Moore and Nicole (David) Zabrosky, granddaughters Rasi (Zac) Williams, Brooke Moore, and Kelsi (Andrew) Six, grandsons Jacob Moore, Elliott Zabrosky, Luke Zabrosky, and Emmett Zabrosky; great-grandchildren Irie Williams, Colt Williams, and Cecilia Six; sister Linda (Gene) Hertzler; brothers Pete (Galinda) Sexton and Michael (Maxine) Sexton. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. Church services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday September 24 at Piedmont Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
