William James Gilliam, age 81, of Amelia, passed from this life on Sept. 27, 2015.  Mr. Gilliam was a retired Machinist from the Ford Motor Company.  He is survived by his sons, Bobby, Rick, and brother Homer all of Michigan, sister Brenda Griffin of California, niece, Linda Herrera of Amelia, grandniece Pam Cundiff of Amelia, great grand nephew, Xander Roberson, and great grand niece Alexander Cundiff.  Funeral services will be held at 7PM on Wednesday Sept. 30, at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court ST. in Amelia with interment Thursday at 11AM at Moore's Methodist Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
