William Russell Lambert, 78, of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away on March 29, 2026.

Born on September 3, 1947 in Tazewell Virginia, Russell was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He later worked for DuPont until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Lettie Lambert, as well as three siblings.

Russell is survived by his son, Michael Walker Lambert of Amelia, Virginia, and four siblings: Larry Lambert, Danny Lambert, Linda Hoback, and Donna Lambert.

A service will be held at the VA Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, Virginia, at 11:00 a.m. on April 3, 2026 with military honors provided by the Marine Corps League.
