William C.  Poe, age 93, of Amelia, passed from this life on August 8, 2016.  Mr. Poe is preceded in death by his wife; Alta Mae (Burton) Poe, and his stepson, Cecil Beverly Gunter and is survived by his son, William C. Poe (Becky) of Indiana, daughter, Rebecca Horton (Bobby) of Cumberland, grandsons, Chris and Dan, granddaughters Casey and Amanda and six great grandchildren.  Special thanks to Linda and Mary Ann Burton for their special care and neighbors Darien and Corday Bernstein.   Funeral services 11AM Thursday August 11 2016, at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery 22110 Genito Road in Amelia.   Visiting at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00-8:00PM.
