Wyatt A Moorefield (Bud) passed away in the early morning hours of June 3, 2018.  He was born July 17, 1939. He leaves behind a wife of 48 years Patsy E. Moorefield, son Chuck Moorefield (Monica), daughter Lori Dean (TJ) ; his sister Mary Wright; grandchildren Cody, Lexi, and Corbin Dean, and Josh and Ellie Moorefield; and many nieces and nephews. Though his heart was weak, it was big and full of love.  He will be missed by all who knew him, he was a character for sure.  He was always ready to laugh and ready to help anyone fight when they were wronged.  His caring compassionate way and his fire will be missed but can be seen in all his grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 5, 2018.  A chapel service is set for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Salem UMC Cemetery. Contributions can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 Jacksonville, Fla. 32256.  The family will gather at Salem UMC following the services for refreshments.
