Abigail Elizabeth Warren

Abigail Elizabeth Warren, 18, began dancing in heaven on February 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her uncle Jeffrey T. Warren, maternal great-grandparents, and paternal great-grandparents. She is survived by her parents Scott and Sheri Warren, siblings Alexis (Joshua Perry) and Kevin Warren, paternal grandparents James and Margaret Warren, maternal grandparents Robert and Nancy Llewellyn, aunt Anita (Donald) Williamson, and many cousins.

Abby was a light to anyone and everyone who knew her, and she shined brightest when she was dancing on stage. In true Abby fashion, the little girl who started her dance journey by refusingto hold hands and having a meltdown over a costume that wasn’t pink, proved everyone wrong by being a force of nature on the stage in four pink solo costumes. The studio was her happy place. She turned from a little girl who looked up to everyone, to being the one all the little girls looked up to. If she wasn’t taking a nap, she was dancing. She was greatly loved by her Premiere Dance Studio family. She helped with many rehearsals, cleaning, providing everything needed with her “corner”, and found any excuse to be there even if she didn’t have to be. Through every injury and setback, she never stepped down from a challenge and she never took it easy because she simply just wanted to dance.

Abby’s outgoing personality also shined through in person, online, while babysitting or volunteering at Amelia Physical Therapy.  To know Abby was to love her, and she was willing to share her truest self with the world.  

There will be a celebration of life Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Amelia County High School Auditorium (8500 Otterburn Rd, Amelia, VA). The family will be having a private burial. Abby was fortunate to have the resources needed to participate on competition teams, travel all over the country for national events, and improve her skills with individual private lessons.  To continue her legacy, and give others an opportunity to shine their own light through dance, in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her name to Citizens Bank & Trust (9060 N Five Forks Rd, Amelia Court House, VA).  All donations made will create the foundation for a scholarship in Abby’s name to assist local children financially with furthering their dance careers.
