Arthur Christian Klevenz, 91, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2020 in Richmond, Virginia. He was born in Queens, New York on August 10, 1929. Growing up in New York helped shape Art’s core values, adventure, and love for family. Art was a true Marine all of his life, often sporting a cap in honor of the men he felt were his brothers. On October 28, 1950, Arthur married the love of his life Marjorie Anita McCarthy. The couple had three amazing children Dianne Wirt, Deborah Altice, who preceded him in death, and Michael Klevenz. As a young man, Art raised his family in Seaford New York where he enjoyed boating, fishing, and the beach. He spent a great deal of time by the water and with his family. Arthur worked as a commercial artist and was very talented. His love of art and history is shared by many of his grandchildren and great grandchildren who he adored. In his final years, Art found love a second time with Linda Stasco, his fiancé. Arthur’s love of family and life was infectious and to know Art was to love him. A private service will be held on Friday December 18, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a rose bush in his memory.
