Just 52 hours after coming into this world, Benjamin Joseph Thompson passed away in the arms of his loving parents, Michael and Karianne Thompson. Born May 28, 2021, at 1:52 pm weighing 9 pounds and 20 inches long, Benjamin made sure to let the world know that he had arrived with the most beautiful cry. During his short time on Earth, Benjamin still responded to the sound of his parents’ voices and gripped their fingers tight. He was able to experience being held tight in his parents’ arms, lots of kisses and being told how handsome and loved he was by so many that were already apart of his life. Benjamin showed his personality very early on while growing in the womb. He was his parents’ tiny & mighty fighter by showing it every step of the way, in any way possible.
He is greeted in Heaven by his paternal great grandparents (Ben, Carolyn), maternal great grandparents (Harold, Helen), plus many great aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his parents and sister: Kirsten; paternal grandparents: Mike (Barbara), Sharon; maternal grandparents: Les, Wanda; uncles: Ben, Josh, Zach, Billy; aunts: Kimberly, Shannon, Allana; as well as many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be held graveside at the Thompson Family Cemetery in Jetersville on Sunday June 13, 2021, at 3pm. Procession will leave Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia at 2:30pm to go to the gravesite.
