Obituary
Charles Victor Key, age 72, of Amelia, passed from this life on May 2, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Ira Key and Emma Goodwin Key, and is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and John “Mac” Deekens of Williamsburg, VA; his nephews Col. Victor M. Deekens of West Point, NY and LTC Carter G. Deekens of Springfield, VA; their families, and numerous cousins. Charles graduated from Amelia High School and Virginia Tech. He retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond. Funeral services will be 2PM on Sunday May 7, 2023 at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, with interment following in the Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery. Visiting prior to the funeral at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the Amelia Rescue Squad. Condolences at www.hillsmanhix.com.
