Edith Mae Whitaker

Edith Whitaker, age 74 went to be with the Lord January 18, 2024.  She is survived by her brothers Paul Whitaker (Jennifer) , Milford Whitaker (Dreama) , sister Judy Morris (Jerry) and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Alice Rudd Whitaker, Dock B Whitaker and sister Alice Katherine (Kitty) Mann.

Edith was a loving and caring person, especially with the elderly.  She enjoyed eating out, meeting with old friends and making new ones.  She worked at Southside Community Hospital as a CNA for many years.  Edith enjoyed being on the farm with her beloved brother Paul.  She was a lifetime member of Amelia Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Amelia Baptist Church 1/21/24 at 2 pm.  Service to follow at 3 pm. Graveside service to follow at Rennie Memorial Church.
