Gerald Frank "Jerry" Wyngaard

Candy & Family: We are saddened to just now learn of Jerry's passing. He was an exceptionally great man. I spent four years with him as a Falcon team mate, then almost a year with the both of you when we stayed to be Freshman football coaches after graduation. Jerry and I both ended up in Vietnam flying C-7's after pilot training, but were stationed at different air bases. Our paths again crossed when we both returned to teach and coach at the Academy some years later. In 1977 when I worked as head football coach at the AFA Prep School, Jerry was my top assistant while he also taught cadets math back on campus. We enjoyed catching up on old times at our last '68 Class reunion, not knowing that would be our last conversations on this earth. I personally feel such a deep loss in his passing, but know he is now with the Lord teaching and coaching in Heaven. Dick & Cecelia Ellis
