Leonard Wilson Oliver

Leonard Wilson Oliver went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 29, 2021.   He is preceded in death by his father Wilson S. Oliver, and his mother Jean L. Oliver, sister Jean Bowyer and brother Jerry Oliver. Leonard is survived by his wife; Linda Ferguson (stepson Joseph Drane) , daughters Beth (Larry) Williams, Teresa (Bill) Vaughan, grandchildren Chad (Lydia) Brooks, Daniel (Dilyn) Dulgher, Maggie (Henry) Smith, Lily Marie, Daisy Grace, great-grandaughters Allie Smith, Cassadee Brooks (due in October 2021), sister Grace Groome, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Leonard enjoyed many years of his truck driving career in the Mid-Atlantic region.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR fan. Nothing pleased him more than to spoil his dogs, Princess, Queenie, Missy and Sandy.  He loved country music and loved dancing with his wife Linda and sister Grace.  He was a member of Liberty Christian Church in Mechanicsville, Va., He was also a member of the East Richmond Moose Lodge.  A viewing will be held on Saturday July 31, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, Va. 23002.   Interment graveside services with family only will be held at Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery located at 13701 Butlers Rd. in Amelia, Va. 23002 on Sunday August 1, 2021 at 1:00PM.  The family would like to thank AT Home Care and Hospice nurses Emily Coppler and Joani Hynst for their support of his care.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his honor to the Alzheimers Association.
