Linda Mae Davis Dawson, age 73 of Amelia, passed from this life to her eternal reward in heaven on March 17, 2021 after a courageous 3 year battle with brain cancer. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Jim and Jessie Davis of Powhatan, two brothers, Kenneth and Jesse “Buddy” Davis and a sister, Jane Lois Edwards. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Douglas Dawson, two daughters, Rebecca (Tony) Garza and Patricia (Russell) Wills, two sons, Kenneth (Beth) Dawson and Jamie (Ginger) Davis, and her siblings Barbara (Ellis) Cook, June (Roger) Cook, and Bobbie Davis. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer) Garza, Toni Lynn (Hunter) Glover, Cody (Tonya) Elder, Jordan (Katie) Elder, Lance and Chris Wills, Candice (Mac) Gough, Sydney (Ryan) Edwards, Ryan (Meredith) Dawson, Andrew and Ryley Dawson, Worth and Ryder Davis, ten great grandchildren, Harper, Laurel and Baylor Garza, Averie Glover, Chet and Vivian Elder, Harlow Elder, Sara, Hanna and Eli Gough and two precious little ones on the way, Carsyn Glover and Grace Edwards. She was a wonderful, loving, caring, Christian wife, mother, Nana, Big Nana, Great Nana, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at Salem United Methodist Church on Clementown Road on Saturday March 20, 2021 from 11 until 2. Funeral to follow at 3:00 at Salem United Methodist Cemetery. Donations can be made to Salem United Methodist Church, Boys Town, St. Judes Hospital or a charity of your choice. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing for everyone’s safety.
