Patricia Louise (Becker) Whitmore

Patricia Louise Whitmore, age 78 of Amelia, passed away on July 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Louise Becker, her great grandson Brayden, and her sisters Dorothy Boyle and Barbara Bell. She is survived by her husband Richard Lee Whitmore; daughters Michele (Larry) Singleton of Powhatan, Rhonda (Earl) McPherson of Hilton Head, and Mary Ellen (Jason) White of Chesterfield; son Richard M. (Michelle) Whitmore of Powhatan; brothers Richard Becker (June “friend”) of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Becker of Arizona, James (Pam) Becker of Spokane, WA, and William (Peggy) Becker of NY; sister Mary Ellen Durling of Jacksonville, FL; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and brother in law Doug Bell.  Interment will be private for the family and a memorial service is to be announced. Patricia was active at Immaculate Heart of Mary, teaching CCD and volunteering at the church, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW of Amelia. “We are who we are because of our mom, who gave us everything she could.  Let our memories of our mother live on forever.” Interment will be held at 3PM on July 30, 2021 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery 10300 Pridesville Rd. Amelia, Va. with a memorial Mass at 11AM on Saturday July 31, 2021 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 903 South Main St. in Blackstone, Va. 23824.
