Obituary
William Hoyle Burton, age 84 of Amelia, passed away on September 12, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Katrinka Murphey Burton, his children David Burton (Susan), Denise Linegar, Melanie Holman (Johnny), and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of VA; he is also survived by his siblings Nelly Mayes, Dolly Mayes, Keith Burton (Sybil) and Ted Burton (Penelope), all of NC; He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Allen Burton and Ina Painter Burton, and his daughter Leslie Casey. A native of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Hoyle worked as a Finance Manager for Porsche-Audi in Richmond, VA until he retired. He enjoyed woodworking, making picnic tables and cornhole boards. Hoyle was a loving and caring husband and family man. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16 at Piedmont Baptist Church, 17801 Genito Rd. in Amelia.
